All Tumblr Image Sizes (Updated March 2026)

Tumblr has a unique aesthetic culture where blog customization and visual presentation matter more than on most platforms. Dashboard post images and blog headers are the two key image types.

The platform supports a wide range of image sizes in posts, but the dashboard column constrains display width to around 540px. Headers are blog-specific and much larger.
