All Facebook Image Sizes (Updated March 2026)

Facebook images appear in wildly different contexts — news feed cards, profile headers, event pages, group banners, and ad placements. Each has its own crop behavior and display size, so one image rarely works everywhere.

The platform compresses JPGs aggressively. PNG uploads for graphics with text or logos tend to stay sharper. For photos, high-quality JPG at the right dimensions is the best compromise.
